Two days after this concert in Memphis, Elvis and Linda flew to Palm Springs to rest. While on vacation, he left it up to Vernon to dismiss three bodyguards, Red and Sunny West and Dave Hebler. Their abrupt firing motivated the trio to write a book of their memories of Elvis, the first of it's kind.
