Elvis returned to Memphis, and it would be three months before his next Vegas engagement.
November 1st full scale production for the karate movie gets underway, filming in California and Europe already taken Elvis has Jerry Shilling set up office in Hollywood to find backing for the movie, backers interested get a screening of a rough cut of the move and most seem interested, in going further. On the 20th the Colonel drafts a memo absolving him of all responsibility for the karate film if Elvis dose not follow his attached business plan. The Colonel has disapproved of this idea from the start, and intends putting a stop to it. By the 24th December Elvis has lost interest in the idea and the Karate film closes down, with the only explanation "Elvis' Health Problems
