September 18, 1954
Elvis performed at the Eagle's Nest, Memphis.
September 18, 1955
Elvis performed at the WRVA Theater, Richmond, Virginia at 2.30 and 8.30 p.m.
September 18, 1957
Hank Garland, a 26 guitar player, who had been working in Nashville signed on as Elvis new guitar player and Vernon Presley sent Scotty and Bill their final payment. Their resignation was accepted as of September 21.
September 18, 1958
Elvis spent his last night at before leaving for the army in Killeen with Vernon, Anita, Edie Fadal, Lamar Fike, Gene and Junior Smith and Red West. There were also some fan club presidents present. It was an emotional night.

Elvis visited an ophthalmologist in Palm Springs.
September 18, 2005
 The TV mini-series "Elvis" received nominations in six categories for the 57th Annual Emmy Awards. The categories included Outstanding Casting For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special, Outstanding Lead Actor (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), Outstanding Supporting Actor (Randy Quaid), and Outstanding Supporting Actress (Camryn Manheim).
