Conroe, TX. August 24, 1955         backstage at the Dallas Sportatorium, Saturday, September 3, 1955. Elvis, Scotty and Bill were playing three sets at the "Big D Jamboree" that night, and another club gig after that. The "Big D Jamboree" was broadcast locally on KRLD Radio, A half hour of it was broadcast nationally on CBS Radio, under the heading "Saturday Night Country Style." Elvis was a part of that half-hour.
