Comments: | The girl in the last two photos was severely disabled and as she was being pushed (in her wheelchair) towards her position in the audience, it became apparent there was no room. Her sister (pictured left) was arguing with an official, when Colonel Parker came along and took the two girls backstage to meet Elvis. The disabled girl was so overwhelmed, she cried throughout the brief meeting. The sisters were then seated at the front of the stage to see the show. |
