Elvis performed at the Memorial Stadium, Spokane, Washington. Elvis entered the stadium in a Cadillac through lines of police guards. He performed 18 songs.
August 30, 1962
Soundtrack recording began at 7.00 p.m. at Radio Recorders but was canceled after only a few hours when it became evident that due to a cold Elvis was having difficulty singing.
August 30, 1966
Elvis completed principal photography on Double Trouble.
August 30,1969 - The Elvis Presley album "From Elvis In Memphis" hit #1 in the U.K.
August 30, 1975
While in the hospital Elvis received get-well calls from both President Nixon and Frank Sinatra.
