Elvis performed at the Louisiana Hayride, Municipal Auditorium, Shreveport. He sung Baby Let's Play House, I Got A Woman, Only You, Tutti Frutti and That's All Right.

Elvis went to the Paramount makeup department to have his hair dyed black. Afterwards he went to the wardrobe department. The script is about to be retitled in Loving You, like the Leiber-Stoller song.

Elvis ordered a professional slot car racetrack for $4,990. By the end of the month all of the guys had their own personal cars and soon there were many contested races.

Elvis continued recording at American from 7.00 p.m. to 8.30 a.m. with several more successful sides. However Elvis' cold got worse and vocal tracks on I'm Movin' On and Gentle On My Mind had to be redone later. Elvis didn't return to the studio until the next week. The band continued the followings days laying down new tracks and overdubbed some songs already recorded.

Just after midnight on Saturday night Elvis' performance was broadcasted live via satellite to most countries in the Far East. 28 European countries linked by EuroVision would see the show on a delayed basis later in the day. The show more than triples its announced goal of $25,000. At the end of the show Elvis threw both his belt and his cape into the audience. As soon as the audience had left the auditorium, and with the live broadcast completed, Elvis and the band performed Early Morning Rain and 4 additional songs from Blue Hawaii. This addition would be added to the U.S. version of the show, which would be broadcasted in April.

It was "car buy day" for Elvis. He bought 2 Lincolns and 1 Cadillac for Jerry Kennedy, Ron Pietrafeso and Gerald Starkey along with Cadillacs for Linda and Shirley Dieu. The bill was $70,000.
