Elvis performed at the Lyric Theater, Indianapolis. Elvis and the group got paid $1,000 for 4 shows. Tom Diskin reported to the Colonel that Elvis had done better and better, getting the kids "all hopped up" each night, but he still needed to work on pacing his act.

Vernon Presley was taken to the hospital after an Elvis concert. He left the hospital two days later after what appeared to be a heart attack.

Elvis wrote a note, that was later found in his room, that explained his desperate mental state. It read, "I feel so alone sometimes. The night is quiet for me. I would love to be able to sleep. I am glad everyone is gone now. I will probably not rest tonight. I have no need for all of this. Help me Lord."
